Who Qualifies for Enrollment for ETMC?

Enrollment for ETMC is open to individuals who are direct descendants of Native American Indians from the aboriginal

villages affected by Mission San Carlos and, in part, Mission Soledad.   If you meet this criterion, you are eligible to apply for tribal membership.

How do I apply for tribal membership?

The applicant is responsible for producing the evidence for him/herself and every generation tracing back to the ancestry, based on the criteria stated above.  The applicant will contact the ETMC Enrollment Secretary.  Our ETMC Tribal Genealogist will review your information.  The ETMC Enrollment Secretary will ask questions as needed to determine if you qualify, and if you do,  you'll be sent an enrollment form.

How long does the process take?

The timeframe largely hinges on the accuracy of your genealogy and enrollment form, as well as how promptly you respond to any inquiries from the ETMC Enrollment Secretary. This thorough process ensures that all information is accurate, allowing your application to be processed correctly.

How do I check the status of my application?

E-Mail the ETMC Enrollment Secretary or call 831-301-3077
